Terms of Use

1. The service

Sizmara (სიზმარა) is an iPhone app that tells Georgian fairy tales with narration, pictures and captions, and lets parents create personal stories. The service is provided by Levan Parastashvili, an individual developer in Georgia (“we”, “us”).

The app is meant for parents: an adult manages the account, purchases and personal stories, while children listen to the stories.

2. Account

When first opened, the app creates an anonymous guest account. For purchases and personal stories, a parent signs in with Apple or Google. You are responsible for your account and for purchases made with it.

3. Free stories

The first minute of every story can be heard without signing in. After signing in with Apple or Google, three stories open in full, free of charge. The list of free stories may change from time to time.

4. Sizmara Plus

Plus unlocks the whole story library. It costs 3.49 ₾ a month or 34.49 ₾ a year. Personal stories are not included in Plus; they are bought one at a time (see section 5).

• Payments are billed by Stripe.
• The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel it.
• You can cancel at any time in the app’s parent zone. Plus keeps working until the end of the paid period and then does not renew.
• If the price changes, we will tell you in advance; a new price applies only from the next period.

5. Personal stories and credits

• Personal stories are bought one at a time: one story costs 10.49 ₾. Each purchase gives you one credit, and creating one story uses one credit.
• Payments are billed by Stripe. This is a one-off purchase and does not renew.
• If a story fails to be created, its credit is refunded automatically.
• Credits do not expire.
• Credits have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money.

6. AI-generated content

The text, pictures and narration of personal stories are generated by artificial intelligence. We try to make every story warm and suitable for the child’s age, but the text or pictures may contain mistakes or inaccuracies. Please review a story yourself before playing it for your child.

7. Acceptable use

When you create a personal story:

• choose only a photo of your own child that you have the right to use;
• do not write notes that are offensive, violent or otherwise unsuitable for a child.

Also, do not try to damage the app or its servers or to get around its limits. If these rules are broken, we may restrict personal story creation or the use of the account.

8. Content ownership

The texts of the classic stories are in the public domain. The illustrations, the narration and the app itself belong to the operator; they may not be copied or distributed without our permission. Personal stories are meant for private family use.

9. Refunds

We refund payments for subscriptions and personal stories where the law requires it. In other cases, refunds are at the operator’s discretion. To ask for a refund, contact us.

10. Limitation of liability

Sizmara is provided “as is”. We work to keep the app running smoothly, but we cannot promise that it will always be free of errors or interruptions. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or incidental damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Sizmara in the last 12 months. Nothing in this section limits rights that cannot be limited by law.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If we do, we will change the date on this page and tell you about significant changes in advance. If you do not agree with the new terms, you can cancel your subscription and delete your account.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Georgia. This does not take away the rights that consumer protection laws in your country give you.
